"content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Chairlady, for this opportunity. We are speaking to the possibility of this country managing its debts. If there is anything that can destroy the development process, it is debt. Even at a personal level, debt is not easy to manage. This amendment is about the National Treasury reporting back to Parliament. I remember what happened in the last government. With regard to debt, we allowed the then government to move from percentages to absolute figures, and they never reported back to this House. I am happy to hear from the Leader of the Majority Party that the Government is committed to be coming back to us to tell us what it is doing in terms of debt management. Unless we properly manage debt, we will never get there. Hon. Temporary Chairlady, I support the amendment."
