    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker. I rise to support the ratification of the Bamako Convention because it touches on very important issues in this country, which have to do with the environment. I have noted from the Report that this convention was signed by the Government of Kenya on 17th December 2003. I commend the Committee for looking into this matter because it was lying somewhere for all those years. Issues of environment are very critical in this country. I also commend the President for spearheading matters environment in Africa. It is through him that this matter found its way to this House for approval and ratification."
