"content": " Thank you very much Hon. Speaker. I take this early opportunity to thank you for your overwhelming support to this endeavour. I rise to welcome my colleagues from all over the African nations to our National Assembly of Kenya. The Global Tuberculosis (TB) Caucus is a unique international network of political representatives with support from more than 150 countries which work exclusively in dealing with the high burden of TB across the globe. It has helped 57 countries to form National TB Caucuses all over the world and Kenya has not been left behind. We have the Kenya-Chapter. The Caucus aims at accelerating progress made against the global TB epidemic through targeted actions at the global, regional and national level. Over 2,500 Members of Parliament work to raise the awareness of the disease and enable cross-cutting policies to transform the response to TB globally. The National Assembly’s TB Caucus was formed in 2016 and has a membership of thirty (30) Members of Parliament. The Caucus is chaired by myself, Member for Matungulu, The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
