"content": "Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker. Death is death. I am not used to making allegations but when I was in my farm in Narok, one of my shops was being raided in Kitengela. As a community of businessmen in Kitengela, we were very keen to know the people who participated in the demonstrations. What came out clearly was that no one from Kitengela did. They were strangers, and did what they did. We should not play all though to please our masters. What we need to address is, who organised these gangs to go and terrorise people’s businesses? It is true that you have the freedom to demonstrate but it is equally upon the organisers to ensure that there is law and order. We are trivialising issues here. I do not believe in shouting. Where I come from, we do not shout. We listen and speak. The Members who are shouting here should not think that the others who are quiet, know nothing. Shouting is not a preserve of certain people. We are here as a House of decorum, and we are addressing an issue that has been brought forward by a Member. People must learn to say the truth, and must stand with it. The demonstrations taking place have nothing to do with the cost of living. From my observation, and I beg for attention, it is a tread that paves way for post-election violence.
