(a) The reason employees have not been paid is that immediately the company was put under receivership their union, the Kenya Union of Domestic Hotels, Educational Institutions, Hospitals and Allied Workers (KUDHEIHA) filed a law suit Case No.147/2004 through their advocate at the High Court of Kenya, Nairobi against Block Hotels in order to recover terminal benefits. The matter is still pending in court. (b) At the moment, I cannot do anything since the matter is still pending in court from 2004."
