    "content": " Hon. Speaker, I cannot agree more with you on this matter. It is not the first time we are raising this issue of perpetual absence from the House of the leadership of the Public Petitions Committee. In fact, it has now gone beyond the leadership. Even the membership has started becoming absent. It is the right time to deal with this matter once and for all. As things stand, this is a Committee that has the highest number of issues that come to the Floor of this House every other day. It is a Committee that should be permanently in the House and proactive so that it can deal with the many petitions that are of utmost concern to the public. I will be suggesting to Hon. Ichung’wah, my good friend, that we move with speed and convene the Committee on Selection to not only look at this Committee but also others so that we can deal with these issues more comprehensively going forward."
