Senators, the salient issues raised in this Petition are as follows- (a) THAT, the petitioners have resided and established their livelihood in Marungu area within Mugange, Mwanda Ward, in Taita-Taveta County for the last four decades; (b) THAT, in the year 2007, the Holy Rosary Catholic Church approached the elders of Marungu area and persuaded them to allocate them a piece of land to enable them put up a structure to be used as a church and an orphanage. The community elders identified 75 acres for allocation to the church;"
