    "content": " Hon. Temporary Speaker, I thank you for giving me an opportunity to move the Pensions (Amendment) Bill (National Assembly Bill No.44 of 2022). The object of this Bill is to amend the Pensions Act, Cap 189 so that we can provide a timeline upon which the pensions department can pay pensioners when it is due. The House will agree with me that the law, as it is now, does not provide a timeline on when retired people will be paid their pensions. We have millions of Kenyans who have suffered in the hands of pension schemes."
