"content": " Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Speaker, for giving me this opportunity. I stand to support this Bill with a lot of reservations. The Food and Feed Safety Control Coordination Bill is very wide. Its content is supposed to be captured in two different Bills. Food and feed are quite different. When you talk about food, it is from the farm to the folk. Moving food from the farm to the folk involves various processes that need to be controlled and checked in quantity, quality, and safety as regards the quality and health aspects, the crop that sprouts have to be nurtured after sowing seed. What type of pesticides do we use? Until the other day, in this country, we were using Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT) pesticide, which has been outlawed worldwide.
