    "content": "Thank you Mr. Speaker, Sir, for the opportunity to welcome the delegation from Kisumu dala . It is a great honour for us, as the Senate, that we have a delegation from Kisumu choosing to come to the Senate instead of going to the other House. This is a great House; a place to benchmark and where there is great debate. I hope that during their stay here, they will have an opportunity to learn what we do here in the Senate and how we take care of their interests because that is part of our function; to protect the interest of the counties. Kisumu, where they come from, is the natural commercial centre of East Africa. It is where I was born and brought up. I am very proud to receive a delegation from my home County of Kisumu. I take this opportunity to welcome and wish them a very successful visit to the Senate. I thank you."
