    "content": "Mr. Speaker, sir, I rise pursuant to the Standing Order No. 53(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on National Security, Defence and Foreign Relations regarding the loss and subsequent recovery of an AK 47 rifle in Ndhiwa Police Station, Ndhiwa Sub-County, Homa Bay County. In the Statement, the Committee should- (1) Explain the circumstances leading to the loss and eventual recovery of an AK 47 rifle at Ndhiwa Police Station, outlining the precise chain of custody, including the issuing authority, the recipient, the intended purpose for which it was issued, and whether any other firearms were issued concurrently. (2) Provide a comprehensive report regarding the duration of the missing rifle when it remained unaccounted for, stating whether any suspects were identified as having been involved in its disappearance. (3) Elucidate the circumstances surrounding the recovery of the AK 47 rifle, including details on when and how it was located, the condition it was found in and the method employed to recover it. (4) State the current assessment of safety and security within Ndhiwa Community in light of this event."
