    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I rise to support this Report. The Report goes a long way to revive the sugar industry. However, the issue about Miwani must be captured in its right context. I was the joint secretary of the sugar taskforce, and we discovered that the land belongs to the Government. Secondly, I support this Report by recommending that the debt of Mumias Sugar of Ksh33,654,593 be included. My reasoning is that Mumias Sugar Company is a national and public interest company. Just like the Government bailed out KQ when it was a private company, we should use the same principle to bail out Mumias Sugar Company. Secondly, the Government has a shareholding of 20 per cent in Mumias Sugar Company. This is an interest that can make the Government come on board and save the company. Thank you, Hon. Speaker."
