Temporary Chairlady, I beg to move: THAT, Clause 68 of the Bill be amended by deleting subclause (2) and substituting therefor the following new subclause— “(2) Notwithstanding subsection (1), any ongoing privatisation under the repealed Act shall be determined and finalised in accordance with this Act.” The Bill provides that any ongoing privatisation under the repealed Act shall be determined and finalised in accordance with this Act. Once this Bill becomes an Act, the current Privatisation Act will be repealed. It was providing that programmes under the current Privatisation Act should be completed within 12 months. The problem with putting a timing to this is that there could arise external factors including judicial proceedings that will render this piece of law redundant. I beg to move."
