Temporary Chairlady, Clause 68(1) of the Bill says that upon commencement of this Act, privatisation of entities published under Gazette Notice No. 8739 of 14th August 2009 shall lapse. This privatisation is supported by a legal instrument—a Gazette Notice and not an Act of Parliament. This Bill will be implemented by the Privatisation Commission. The two are very different."
