    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. I wish to comment on the Statement by Sen. Chesang on the issue of maize, dryers and prices of maize. As the Committee considers this Statement, we would like it to get proper information from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development on the price farmers should expect to sell their maize. As we speak, maize has been harvested in parts of Uasin Gishu, Bungoma and Trans Nzoia counties. However, because of the rains farmers are experiencing difficulties in drying their maize.
