    "content": "A dormitory at the school was burnt on the night prior to the day of questioning the students suspected of involvement in drug peddling and abuse. This was aimed at scuttling the investigations into drug peddling and abuse. Thus far, two students have been arraigned in Kilifi Court 1 on drug-related charges. Their case was heard on 6th October 2023. The next court date is 30th November 2023. They are currently remanded at the Malindi Children's Remand Home. In the Sokoke Boys Secondary School case, there were two incidents of unrest in Sokoke Boys Secondary School. The first incident occurred on 24th May 2023. The students protested against the principal's alleged strictness, failure to honour his promises to students and teachers, failure to undertake improvements on classrooms and other physical facilities at the school, and failure to supervise effectively teachers to ensure that teachers were teaching their assigned workload."
