Apart from giving fertiliser to the maize growing areas, we have a lot of rain in Eastern Province where I come from. The President should have addressed distribution of fertiliser in Kitui region so that we can also grow maize and become self-sufficient in food. I also expected to hear that more irrigation schemes are being done in Eastern Province so that we can grow food."
