    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, on police air wing, the Committee expressed its concern over accidents that have beset this unit in the recent past ostensibly due to the use of old police helicopters. The Committee was of the view that servicing the old helicopters was depleting the unit funds that could be used in the purchase of new helicopters. After being informed that the allocation that was made this year is meant to purchase fixed wing aircraft, the Committee felt that the police and the Administration Police should go for new helicopters of fixed wing instead of going for second hand ones. If the money allocated is not adequate, it should not go into servicing old helicopters that are bound not to last for long as experienced in the past because we have witnessed a number of mishaps and accidents."
