    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I also want to comment on the Petition. There are many problems at the grassroots level with regard to health. It is difficult for Kenyans to access health services when they fall sick and go to hospitals. In general, there are several glitches with the NHIF system. Patients are turned away and do not get service even when they are fully contributing to the NHIF. There is need to shake up the NHIF so that it can serve Kenyans better, particularly those who cannot afford high hospital charges as we do. As a victim, I have been in and out of hospital because of the injuries I sustained in a bomb explosion a few years ago and I discovered that even for someone of my status, it is difficult to get access to some services because of the bureaucracy at the NHIF.
