"content": " Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I rise to support the petitioners. This is a very progressive Petition which will ensure that all Kenyans pay taxes as they are required by the law. I do not know whether you know that this is biblical. The Bible says that to whom much is given, much is also expected. I believe they exempted themselves from paying taxes because they thought they would be paying so much. If you look at how we pay the housing levy, those who have big salaries pay more than those who have small salaries. Let the big families— Kenyatta and Moi’s— pay taxes so that we can grow this country together. Let us not grow this country for them. Let us do it together. Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker.
