As much as the petitioners have a right to come and petition Parliament which is a constitutional right, it is also important for us to remember the founding fathers of this nation. The people who passed this law in the 1960s had a purpose. It is also important for us to remember that Dedan Kimathi died and he was not exempted from paying taxes, which is unfortunate.
