    "content": "“authorized officer” means any officer appointed within the public service or service Commission to perform its delegated functions within the public service or service Commission; “public office” has the meaning assigned in Article 260 of the Constitution;” Hon. Chairperson, this amendment seeks to introduce the definition of the term “authorized officer,” which is contained in the Bill and used in other sections of the Act, but it was previously not defined in the Public Service (Values and Principles) Act of 2015. The amendment also seeks to ensure that a public office is defined as contained in the Constitution and further to ensure every public office shall be mandated to prepare a report on the status of the promotion of values and principles of public service.
