    "content": "THAT, Clause 8 of the Bill be amended— (a) in sub-clause (1) by deleting the words “Kenya Drugs” and substituting therefor the words “Kenya Health Products and Technologies Regulatory”; (b) by deleting sub-clause (2) and substituting therefor the following new subclause (2)– “(2) The Board shall comprise— (a) a non-executive Chairperson appointed by the President and who shall─ (i) be a registered pharmacist of good standing with a degree in pharmacy; and (ii) have at least ten years' experience in the pharmaceutical sector, five of which shall be at senior management level; (b) the Principal Secretary in the Ministry for the time being responsible for health or a representative designated in writing; (c) the Principal Secretary in the Ministry for the time being responsible for finance or a representative designated in writing; (d) the Director-General for Health or a representative designated in writing; (e) one person nominated by the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya; (f) one person nominated by the Kenya Pharmaceutical Association; (g) one person nominated by the Kenya Medical Association; (h) one person, not being a Governor, with knowledge and experience in health products and technologies nominated by the Council of County Governors to represent the interests of counties; The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
