"content": " Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I rise to support this Bill. We are all aware of where we are as a country in terms of safety of drugs. An analysis of the Pharmacy and Poisons Board today makes you realise that there are many issues that we need to ask ourselves. First and foremost is to ask ourselves: As we talk about drug safety, how shall we regulate chemists and pharmacies across the country? Currently, there are too many pharmacies and chemists. There are even some with just a few drugs which begs the question whether it makes sense even in terms of their profits or anything The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
