"content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker. I also stand to support this Bill with possible amendments. The area that I want to focus on has been mentioned here before. As a country, we have our aim, and we strive to achieve the WHO) Maturity Level III in terms of health. When we allow Clause 39(4) to proceed, then in intent, we are trying to say that we do not take into account what we are striving to achieve. Allowing the wholesale distribution of drugs to anyone, especially the technical people who do not have qualifications, will not only harm our pharmaceutical environment, but will also affect the country's safety. For example, imagine if you have a drug like morphine easily accessed by people who do not know how to prescribe it. How will it affect our country's overall population? We have had too many outcries from pharmaceutical professionals and doctors regarding how this will affect us. It is upon us, as a House of legislation, to consider how this will affect people out there. The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
