"content": "Health insurance and education covers take quite a long time, especially education covers. You may realise that a person may take a cover for a child who is in class one. The cover matures when a child reaches class eight. Very many things can happen in between. The person who has purchased the cover may continue paying without having a way of getting feedback on how these policies are doing. This Bill is going to assist people, especially those who have taken life insurance or education covers for their children, to ensure they are given proper information and that our people are supported. We are likely to be exposed to losses if we rely on the good stories we get from insurance companies and brokerage companies. May this Bill let the commission or the authority take charge so that our citizens are covered. The interface between insurance companies and brokerage companies also needs to be very clear so that our people are taken care of. Group covers should be properly explained so that individuals in those groups have information on how to deal when the time of need comes. With those remarks, I support this Bill especially the introduction of new amendments brought by the Committee to ensure insurance companies are responsible and that Kenyans do not suffer many losses from institutions on which they have spent money. People do this so that their families can benefit or get compensation in case of losses. Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker."
