"content": "I would like to talk about the Poverty Index which we should abolish. This is because people now glorify poverty. I was shocked the other day in my constituency when somebody said; â Mheshimiwa, you are telling us to work so hard and cultivate, but this will push our poverty index down and if it goes down, we will get less Constituency Development Fund (CDF) money.â The Poverty Index issue must come to an end. We are now glorifying poverty. We should emphasize wealth creation and not the Poverty Index."
