    "content": "The amendment is necessary to expressly provide that the Director of Public Prosecutions shall be the person responsible for appointing the heritage wardens as prosecutors. This amendment seeks to bring clarity to the provision as well as to align the Act with Article 157(9) of the Constitution which gives the Director of Public Prosecutions powers to instruct persons to act as prosecutors. The amendment further seeks to align the subsection with Section 29(1) of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions Act (No.2 of 2013), which provides that the Director may appoint any qualified person to prosecute on his or her behalf."
