    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Chair. I want to put it right and on record that all independent commissions serve Kenyans, both Houses of Parliament, and all levels of government - county governments and national Government. Regarding the standards of ECDE, the TSC has a role, especially in setting standards on who the teachers will be. It has a role to guide the county governments and tell them which qualified teachers should teach in those schools. In this case, the Commission is not stepping on the mandate of the county government but the national Government. It is an independent commission and, therefore, it has a right to oversee the teachers and give direction. I thank you, Hon. Temporary Chairman."
