Temporary Chairman, I beg to move: THAT, the Bill be amended in the Schedule in the proposed amendments to the Controller of Budget Act by deleting the proposed amendments to Section 19 and substituting therefor the following— Insert the following new subsection immediately after subsection (2)— (2A) The Controller of Budget shall submit the annual report in subsection (2) to the President and Parliament within three months after the end of the year to which it relates. This proposed amendment seeks to provide the time needed for the Controller of Budget to submit the reports to the National Assembly from six to three months so that it gives Parliament adequate time to review those reports."
