    "content": "Because the Committee is undertaking an inquiry on human-wildlife conflict, I encourage all the Members who have cases involving it to channel them through the Committee, so that we can look at them holistically and find a permanent solution. At the same time, when it comes to compensation, our biggest problem is the budget. As we sit, we have an outstanding bill of more than Ksh6 billion of verified and confirmed claims. Unfortunately, the amount of money which as a Committee we are able to secure through the Budget and Appropriations Committee (BAC) is less than Ksh1 billion per financial year. I also want to urge the Members when it comes to sourcing finances through the BAC, all of us should be here to support."
