On the third question, to expound on the treatment and intervention options that the Government has employed to assist deaf and hard of hearing children, the NHIF covers hearing aids for students in public secondary schools under the EduAfya Scheme. We also have treatment like hearing aids and “co-chair” implants among other assistive devices. “Co-chair” implants are available, which are surgically implanted devices that provide sound signals to the brain for people with severe hearing loss in one or both ears."
