    "content": "As Members of Parliament, we have reached a stage where, today, any busybody attempts to take away the constitutional mandate of Members of Parliament. This trend started during the 11th Parliament and the 12th Parliament. I am glad that the Chairman is here. Here we are in the 13th Parliament and a mere entity, instead of discussing this thing during pre- budget debate, these issues are now being made a debate after the Budget is passed. That in itself tells you that there is mischief. If you look at the framers of our Constitution and Article 1, sovereignty has been equated to representation. Here is an entity that does not want to know the existence of the Statutory Instruments Act. They do not want to know the four key constitutional mandates of a Member of Parliament. They just sit in an office and negate what has already been given."
