"content": " Hon. Speaker, let me say that this matter is a long one and it is presented in a very detailed way in terms of what has happened in the court cases up to the Senate. What has happened is that, in 2011 and as late as 2021, the Government decided to start paying the teachers. At present, over 21,000 teachers have been paid and the remaining ones are still in the pipeline to be paid. We do recognise that this is a matter that has been protracted and has been in court for many years. What happened is that payments were started. I have a detailed answer that shows even how the court cases have been resolved and payments have started. Slightly over 11,000 teachers are still remaining to be paid. The process is in the pipeline for them to be paid."
