Chairlady, I beg to move: THAT, Clause 11 of the Bill be amended by— (a) deleting sub-clause (1) and substituting therefor the following new subclause— “(1) The Board shall, through an open, transparent and competitive recruitment process, appoint a suitably qualified person to be the Chief Executive Officer of the Agency”. (b) inserting the words “in consultation with the Salaries and Remuneration Commission” immediately after the words “from time to time” in sub-clause (2); This is in terms of recruitment of the Chief Executive Officer and we are asking that he be recruited in an open, transparent and competitive process. This is just making it cleaner and in consultations with the Salaries and Renumeration Commission immediately after the words “time to time” in Clause 11(2)."
