    "content": "Why do we need a National Tax Policy? The rationale is to grow the tax revenue. The tax reforms within the confines of the National Tax Policy will enhance the domestic resource mobilisation required to finance the Government’s development agenda and reduce the country’s fiscal deficit. You cannot claim to be independent or sovereign if you cannot finance your budgets. As long as you rely on other people’s resources, your independence and sovereignty, as a country, are under threat."
