Temporary Chairlady, the amendment seeks to ensure that the Cabinet Secretary responsible for National Administration shall provide the Ministerial oversight over the national lottery as well as offer policy guidance. Further, the Cabinet Secretary for National Administration will be best placed to put in place enforcement measures in the conduct of national lotteries as well as effective management of the risk associated with the industry such as tax evasion, money laundering and financing of terrorism."
