    "content": "the Committee held two report writing retreats on Petitions and Bills before it and one stakeholder engagement on the level of preparedness on the African Cup of Nations games. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, going forward, the Committee intends to carry out the following key activities- (1) Hold continuous engagements with the National Treasury and county governments, including the assemblies on the issue of statutory deductions, pension and Savings and Credit Cooperative Organizations (SACCO) payments. (2) Hold continuous engagements with the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sports and the Arts on Sports Development and Management. (3) Hold continuous engagements with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection on- (i) Labour migration, promotion of skilled labour and protection of unskilled labour migrants; (ii) Registration of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs); (iii) Social safety nets for the vulnerable in the society; and, (iv)The welfare of children.
