    "content": "The Geriatric Bill 2022 seeks to effect Article 57 of the Constitution of Kenya to ensure provision of proper care and maintenance of the well-being of the elderly people of Kenya. The Geriatric Bill 2022 was committed to the Departmental Committee on Labour and Social Protection for consideration, pre-publication scrutiny and making of appropriate recommendations pursuant to Standing Order 106 (6). The Bill seeks to effect Article 57 of the Constitution to establish a National Council for the Elderly to provide for their care, empowerment, protection, maintenance of their well-being, safety and security."
