    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker. I wish to support this very important Bill. I thank Hon. Gathoni Wamuchomba, Member of Parliament for Githunguri Constituency, for coming up with this very important Bill. It is important for all of us to appreciate that old age is a blessing. Further to that, every person who is born will one day grow old. As we look at this Bill, it is important to think that we are not talking about people who are far away from us. We are also heading towards that age to be called the elderly. I have no problem with the title, the Geriatric Bill (National Assembly Bill No.50 of 2022), because it means it is a special area of medicine that focuses strictly on providing care for the unique health needs of older people.
