    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker, for the opportunity to contribute to this Bill. I support this Bill. On the 5th of May this year, I brought a Motion before this House and it was adopted. The Motion was seeking to compel the Government to regulate the betting industry as a result of the proliferation of betting games by media houses. Therefore, this Bill gives life to the aspirations that I had in that Motion. The intention of this Bill is to increase control and oversight over betting, gambling and the industry as a whole. However, although the authority has been given a function of receiving complaints, the Bill is short in providing the timelines within which the issues raised are addressed."
