Temporary Chairlady, I beg to move: THAT, Clause 3 of the Bill be amended in sub-clause (2) by— (a) deleting paragraph (c) and substituting therefor the following new paragraph— “(c) enhance integrity of public office and public confidence in the delivery of public services; (b) inserting the following new paragraphs after paragraph (e)— “(f) enhance accountability to the public for decisions and actions by public officers in execution of their duties; (g) promote selfless service by public The rationale is that the amendment is for purposes of clarifying and aligning the objects of the Bill with the provisions of Articles 73 and 75 of the Constitution, which deal with ethics of public officers."
