    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, this Motion is brought at a time when there are many Kenyans who have lost their employment before reaching their retirement age. It has also been brought at a time when the retirement age has been extended from the previous 55 years to 60 years. It is brought during a time when there is a global financial crisis where millions of people have lost jobs. Recently, in Geneva, it was indicated that in the world over 50 million people have lost jobs. In Kenya, the Kenyan delegation that was represented in Geneva during the International Labour Organization Conference led by His Excellency the Vice-President and Minister for Home Affairs confirmed that over 10,000 people have lost their jobs before attaining the retirement age."
