    "content": "Hon. Temporary Speaker, I had actually moved the Bill in that manner and format. I will repeat, because it seems like I was not being recorded. I am moving this amendment Bill to ensure that village elders and the villages they represent are recognised in the National Government Coordination Act. Village elders perform critical functions in this country, but no one recognises them either through some payment or appreciation through an allowance. The current National Government Coordination Act only recognises national Government coordination officers up to the rank of assistant chiefs. For the assistant chief to perform effectively, he mostly relies on the village elders.
