    "content": "We are even putting money in innovation. Next week, we will be unveiling the Kenya Innovation Week, Commonwealth edition. We have invited all the 56-Member States who will be in Nairobi as part of our effort to promote innovation. We have also launched the presidential innovation challenge and award through which our young people can showcase their innovation. The best innovation will each walk away with a Kshs5 million start-up fund. All these is supported by this fund. Whether it is innovation, creativity or sports, this fund has an eye on all of them. With regard to what the hon. Senator is referring to as our paralympics team, we support and take good care of them. The team that went to Germany was fully funded by the Ministry. When they returned, we organized a special reception hosted by His Excellency the Deputy President, flagged by Eng. Peter Tum, the Principal Secretary (PS), in the State Department of Sports. This is among the teams that immediately received their cash awards on return. I am assuring this House that we have our finger on the pulse of sports and creatives in this country. We are doing everything humanely possible to take better care of our sportsmen and women and our creatives. I have no doubt that we are doing a sterling job at it. I submit."
