The budget for State House in the Printed Estimates was totally inadequate and that was on the request of the President. Even before we funded his Office, there were other pressing needs like the education sector. Therefore, we deliberately underfunded that programme knowing there would be an opportunity to beef it up, after taking care of the pressing needs of the country at that time."
