I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.53(1), to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Roads, Transportation and Housing regarding construction and maintenance works for airports in Kenya, specifically, the Jomo Kenyatta and Kisumu international airports, which have experienced roof leaks and flooding during the heavy rains experienced recently. In the Statement, the Committee should - (1) Disclose the identities of contractors who undertook construction and or maintenance works in parts of Jomo Kenyatta and Kisumu international airports that experienced roof leaks and flooding during the heavy rains experienced in the week of 6th to 12th November 2023, indicating the cost of the works;"
