    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, my second Statement is on Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) in Kisumu County. Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.53(1) to seek a Statement from Standing Committee on Education regarding ECDE in Kisumu County. In the Statement, the Committee should- (1) State the number of ECDE centres in Kisumu County and their respective pupil enrolment. (2) Apprise the Senate on the number of teachers deployed by the County Government of Kisumu to the Early Childhood Education (ECD) centres, their terms of employment, including remuneration and other benefits and the teacher-pupil ratio. (3) Provide a report on the level of national and county government investments in infrastructure development and teacher training in ECD centres, stating the budgetary allocation at both levels of Government, disclosing any donor funding that went on structural development and promotion of quality child care in the centers for the Financial Year 2023/2024; and"
