    "content": "(b) Clarify whether the Ministry of Roads, Transport and Housing is aware that the work was done, but the concrete paving blocks were subsequently removed by the contractor and, if so, state the reasons for the same; and (c) State the measures in place, if any, by the Government to have the road reconstructed to the specifications provided in the tender award, providing the timeline for completion of the project. Mr. Speaker Sir, in response to the request by Sen. Joseph Kamau, MP, the Committee sought and received a response to the Statement from the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Roads and Transport. At its sitting held on 12th October, 2023, the Committee considered the response to the Statement and observed that the response was unsatisfactory and sought supplementary information. The Committee will, therefore, pursue the supplementary issues raised in the Statement to its conclusion."
