    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise, pursuant to Standing Order No.53(1), to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Finance and Budget on the status of pending bills in Taita/Taveta County. In the Statement, the Committee should- (1) Provide a list of all suppliers, the cost of goods supplied and services rendered, amounts paid and outstanding payments from Financial Year 2017/2018 to date stating reasons for the non-payment of any outstanding bill. (2) Outline the county governments’ plan to settle the pending bills while indicating the proposed allocation per financial year for the pending bills. (3) Confirm whether the presidential directive in 2019 on settlement of pending bills was implemented by the county governments while presenting a record of the suppliers, amounts already disbursed and the amounts outstanding.
